A new Danieli
Breda Automatic Forging Plant, made up of a 2500
ton two-column push-down press with two integrated 20/40-t-capacity
rail-bound manipulators entered steady state production
in September 1999, just two months after the successful
outcome of hot tests (for both dimensional and structural
characteristics) carried out in June.
Usable steel grades :
Carbon steel
Case hardening steel
Hardened and tempered steel
Creep-resistan steel
Surface finishing: raw, turned
Heat treatment: machinability annealing, isothermal annealing, hardening and tempering, normalization.
