THE EXPERIENCE OF QUALITY SINCE 1813
The Company’s origins date back to 1813, when a first forging plant was built in Udine. It utilized the electric power generated by a small stream.
At the beginning it was an “iron processing” for producing farming equipment and then its production evolved to products for industry. Technology developed and improved by new production plants such as melting shop, steelworks, new rolling and heat treatment plants and cold rolling mill as well.
Those early origins - of which there are still many testimonials in the well-preserved tools and “forging hammers” of the period - place ABS among the companies with the longest and most qualified tradition in the field.
Continuous research in product development and process technology, together with a strengthened experience of a centuries-old activity, have enabled the company to achieve a leadership position in the field of special steel and to obtain the most important international certifications. |
